Is there a way to Import custom control into the app (think: PhoneGap)? I am writing an app that involves adding a Map and there is no reference to this in the doc.

This is not possible to add maps in version 0.5 but starting in 0.6 and beyond (released in a few weeks), you will have <WebView> for displaying any HTML-based content and <MapView> for displaying native maps.
