There’s no “open a project” and my project is no longer in “recent projects” .
Am I missing something or is it that I cannot open old project and should create a new one and copy old code to it? I also tried to open .unoproj file with Fuse.exe without success.

If you write fuse preview in the directory it opens for me.
As Bjørn-Olav says, if you want to open the project in a local preview, you just type fuse preview in that directory. You can also open a preview on a device, export to various targets etc., all of which are described here.
