Website outage, May 11th


We just experienced a rather long outage of our website and other parts of our infrastructure. We’ve added geo-redundancy to most of our stack now to avoid problems like this in the future - but parts of the site may still feel a little slow as the infrastructure provider is working on the ongoing issues.

We are still seeing intermittent issues with traffic to some of our backend services for users located in Europe. I’ve routed all our traffic to our infrastructure in the US east coast while Azure works on their problem in the North Europe region.

Some slowdowns should be expected, but the site should be operating normally.

The issues have popped up again today as well, and are related to hosting problems within the North Europe region in Azure. Once more I’ve rerouted traffic to East US pending investigation.
