Support for Jetbrains IntelliJ IDEA

Hi,

thanks for this amazing product and the fresh Atom editor support.

I am a huge fan of Jetbrains IntelliJ IDEA and I think a PlugIn for IntelliJ IDEA would be realy amazing.

For me, it would bring the development to the next level

Maybe someone at Jetbrains would also be interessted.

Hi Konstantin,

We currently donā€™t have specific plans for making an IntelliJ plugin, but weā€™re always evaluating supporting new editors. This is why we recently chose to create a plugin for Atom, in addition to the Sublime Text one we started out with.

Both these plugins are open source (https://github.com/fusetools/Fuse.SublimePlugin, https://github.com/fusetools/Fuse.AtomPlugin), and we are planning to document the API shortly. So it shouldnā€™t be too hard for someone in the community to create one. If anyone decides to have a go, weā€™re more than happy to answer any questions you might have!

+1 for IntelliJ Plugin!

Hi IntelliJ people!

While we canā€™t prioritise making an IntelliJ plugin right now, we have at least opened up the Fuse plugin API! Hereā€™s a blog post, and the API description.

If someone (you?) wants to have a go at making an IntelliJ plugin, weā€™de be happy to answer any questions you might have.

+10000 now now now! seriously though, hopefully the next IDE to be supported/given a plugin would be IntelliJ ā€¦

This would be really great as the IntelliJ-IDE and other JetBrains IDEs give you functionality out of the box that Atom.io and Submerged needs a ton of plugins to even get close to be as good.
Examples that I miss when using Atom.io are autoclosing tags, better autocomplete, built-in debugging, better refactoring tools. Iā€™ve tried using plugins, but have yet to find anything that works good enough. I think a ā€œnativeā€ plugin for IntelliJ would be really great.

Please go to https://www.fusetools.com/profile to add your name or alias, and the email will no longer be displayed.

As for additional editor plugins, this is exactly why we open sourced our plugin API: https://www.fusetools.com/docs/technical-corner/fuse-protocol - now anyone can create plugins for their favorite editor or IDE.

Ouch, well thatā€™s clearly a bug. Iā€™m raising an internal issue to get that looked into first thing Monday. Sorry for the trouble!

Yes thats what I did when I realised that my email was being displayed. So I replaced my Alias from email to my name and posted again, but nothing changed and still nothing. :frowning:

We had an issue over the weekend here where user profile changes werenā€™t correctly synced with the forums; Iā€™ve fixed the problem and processed all profile updates since the bug occured - sorry about that

+1 someone could make this plugins.
