How to uninstall

How to uninstall completely?

I would like to know, too, how to uninstall fuse completely off my Mac system, please

Hi, we don’t ship an uninstaller at this point, but you can use the script listed under “Uninstall” here to remove Fuse from your OS X system: https://www.fusetools.com/docs/basics/installation/setup-install-osx

To uninstall FUSE for OS X open the FUSE for OS X system preference pane and click the Uninstall button.

If the two preference panes are still there after running both uninstalls, then just right-click on them and select the “Remove … Preference Pane” option.

And reboot your Mac.

To confirm that the file are gone you could run the following commands in Terminal. Hopefully you shouldn’t get any results.

pkgutil --pkgs | grep fuse kextstat | grep fuse

Uninstgall tool from third party can also help uninstall the program:http://guides.mightyuninstaller.com/uninstall-pro-pc-cleaner/

jannakj: You’re talking about the FUSE filesystem extension for OS X that has nothing to do with Fusetools.

Also, as a side-note: using third party uninstallers is not recommended as they can remove files installed by installer dependencies that you might not have wanted to uninstall (like the Android SDK/NDK). These uninstallers are quite dumb and simply look at all files changed or added during the period of an installer being active, which is rather speculative if you ask me.

As for uninstalling Fuse, Knatten’s answer above is the correct procedure.
