Get Mac Adress without permission

Hey there
Is there a way to get the mac-adress without requiring permissions?

The problem I have is that I want a unique ID of the device.
I know that I can use this repo to get the uuid:

But then I need the phone permission and I now that not all users will grant that access

Therefore I think the Mac Adress would be great.
Or do someone know a better solution?

as far as I know not all permissions have to be approved by the user. Read more here
