Convert Escape HTML string tags in char

Hi guys. I’m creating an app that uses Wordpress REST API. Some of them output request have a lot of Escape Html Tags(è, é…) that with js JSON parsing it can’t convert in char. There are other function for convert them in char (with foreign code)? Thanks
